890Yes, I'm an engineer. And yes, I enjoy of talking about equipment, building web services, designing databases, waiting new digital SLRs etc. And yes, I'm quite lousy photographer, perhaps. But I could not care less.. ;-)

This section of the PhotoStories site concentrates more to the "hardware" side of the photography. In this page, you'll find some subjective equipment tests and comments about the photography equipment I'm currently using, for example. Due to the fact that I happens to use Canon cameras and lenses, these pages are more or less focused to that brand.

Every time when you consider of buying some new gear, you'll try to obtain the best available choice. But often there are quite too many choices, and usually you end up to the problem of determining the quality/prize ratio: what is the best lens I can afford to. Then you — of course — have addition problems like "should I save little bit and get much more better lens later" and "is it really so much better". Well, I hope you'll find some useful information from this page.
